Bone at If You Read Only One Blog This Year---, started Three Word Wednesday. The purpose is explained as: "... write something using three assigned words. It can be a few lines, a story, a poem, anything. This is a writing exercise. The idea is to let your mind wander and write what it will."
The assigned words this week are: Bare, Rumble and Watch.
Here is my short first attempt to participate in this writing exercise.
Edna's pate was red and bare,
And her rumble seat was square;
Her face looked sore and pimply --
Acne to put it simply.
But her self-esteem was high
And she waved as she biked by.
"Watch this!" she called to me
As she swerved around a tree.
That Edna's quite a biker.
You know what? I kinda like her!
