Thanksgiving Questions

At the Friday Forum these questions are offered up this week.

  • 1. What do plan to do for Thanksgiving? (Are you cooking? Staying at home?Going to visit family?)
  • 2. What are some Thanksgiving traditions that you have?
  • 3. What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving?
  • 4. Do plan to start Christmas shopping after Thanksgiving or are you alreadyfinished?
  • 5. Think about what you are blessed with and list them if you'd like.

I'd especially like to read your answers to #5.

Joanie... what wonderful questions! I may spend a whole post on them later today. One the list would be that I am especially thankful for the privilege of reading your Blog and Carol's each morning. And I am thankful for both od you in having enough confidence in me to help me get started in computering as well as blogging.

I put a comment on this yesterday and it's not here? Maybe I hit the wrong button? probably.....

1. Visit with Mother and at Mother's with family;

2. Going to Mothers, having so many people in the house you can't stir them with a stick, laughing a lot, eating too much and having that I-ate-too-much-turkey-sleepiness all afternoon;

3. Visiting with family members, it's a day when no one expects you to be working (at work) and you really don't have anything else you HAVE to do;

4. Okay, this is going to be sentimental (just a warning). I was just thinking about this yesterday, not necessarily in connection with Thanksgiving.

Because of what I do for a living and because of a chain of events recently, I have been acutely aware of how fortunate I am to have been raised by parents that loved me unconditionally.

Whatever their problems might have been and understanding they are only human and weren't perfect, there was never a day in my life I didn't know that my parents loved me.

I took that for granted as a child, as an adult I have come to understand how rare that is.

The blessings in my life can pretty much be traced back to that solid and secure foundation.

I am very thankful for my parents.

(told you it was going to be sentimental! :) )
