This eighth edition of The Job of Cooking brings you this anonymous comment found in the daily vent of the Atlanta Journal Constitution last week:
"I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end and think, "Well, THAT'S not gonna happen!"
I wish I had written that one! Maybe I should claim it.

What a terrific quote. I think that when I look at the photo. At my blog I link to Bonita who has the most fabulous photos of the health food she whips up--sometimes while camping. I love to look, but know there is no way mine will ever look or taste like that. But fun to look! I have a roast and potatoes in the oven right now, and that's about as exotic as we get around here.
