Lunch with "the Girls"

This morning, I woke up waaaaaay too early - as I frequently do -- and spent a few hours at the computer (straightening out files, etc). Then, ready for a break, I called my Mom and sisters and suggested we go out for lunch together. I had two takers, and we had a great time.

The Landmark Restaurant here in town is a diner-type restaurant with a huge selection of dishes. They serve everything from dozens of breakfast selections to sandwiches to vegetable dishes. My sister and Mother got a daily special of stuffed avocado. It looked great -- avocado stuffed with chicken salad. The plate was beautiful, lettuces, boiled egg halves, sliced tomatoes, olives, and sliced cucumbers around the title dish. I had a "small" fried chicken salad. I could eat only 1/3 or so of it. We had a great time, laughing and talking for an hour or so. It was nice to visit away from home where we could sit and talk without seeing work that needed doing. And even better, Mother insisted on picking up the tab!! So thanks again, Mother, for a great afternoon.

(and now - a nice sisterly nana-nana-boo-boo to Beth!!! You should have joined us!!)

I agree with your nana-nana-boo-boo to Beth - what a party pooper! LOL! I would have joined you if I lived there. I'm one of the good sisters. :-)
So glad you had a great lunch with Mother and Debi.

HAHAHA!!! Nana-nana-boo-boo to me too! I hate I missed it! I really do.

It sounds like fun and I would have enjoyed it!

Look at me though - I'm leaving a comment on blogspot! I don't know what happened but I can get on here the last couple of days. I'm afraid to say it out loud though cause it'll jinx it and I'll be blocked out again!!!
